Switched On London lighting festival
Switched On London is a lighting festival that takes place in the Pool of London on February 8th - 16th. A number of sites have been chosen in the area to be temporarily
lit in an imaginative and exciting way by some of the best lighting designers and manufacturers in the UK.
The festival coincides with The ARC Show, a business event for architectural, retail and commercial lighting, which takes place in the Business Design Centre on February 12th - 13th.
The last night of Switched On London will coincide with the first ever late night opening
of the Design Museum which will feature a special lighting display.

Tourist in Lisbon
Yep, that´s right, today i felt like a tourist in Lisbon. Since i have a few days left to spend as i like, i went there to enjoy my last moments in Portugal.
This is not the first time i am away from my mother-land ans from the past i still l can remember clearly that the main things i enjoy in Portugal and as well, i more fell the lack of are "Pasteis de Belém" and "Bife à Portugália". This time, i tasted just the first one...
Belém is one of my favorites places in Lisbon, as long as i don´t need to go there everyday to work, of course!!;-) Riding my bicycle from Alcântara till Belém is priceless and i really hope to find a similar place in London to exercise my legs the same way i do here!!
Well, apart of this, i am still in touch with my mates, mainly my UK future London-party-friends (heeheh. We are discussing the best way to deal with the very-high prices of renting apartment and probably, we are going to rent and share the bill and the space... let see what time reserves to us... The cheapest studio i´ve found was around 800 euros per month - Unsupportable, considering our thin budget... and the Subway monthly ticket is 120 Euros!!! (better walk for my heath and to save my wallet)

Preparations
Me and my mates are living one period of time very particular... Lots of changes in our lives are becoming to arise.
The last certain thing i eared was my company of destination and the country: Santander - Totta, London-UK)
From then on, i tried to find out more information about my future hosting company, the possible location where i will be working.. .and of course, trying to discover more and more about the London city...
The main thought in my mind about London, since the moment i have found it as my future destination was "Dam, i am doomed! The prices there are astronomic.. .renting, eating.. .transports...."
These days are passing very slowly, partially due to the great desire to start as soon as possible my new challenge, and also, because of the lack of information about my main responsibilities and tasks to do in the next couple of months...
To find a low cost flat, to study the Metro network, places to buy cheap and reasonable goods.... I think i will dream on these subjects tonight!!
By the way: Install Google Earth (http://earth.google.com) and fly over your future destination! The most "must have" software you will need in the next days.. .well,. .. i will for sure, because London city ain't a peace of cake to understand!!!
